Siding Warranties

GemThane^® Siding Systems are backed by all-inclusive Product Replacement Warranties.

Whether you choose GemThane’s economical “Value Plus” siding system or our top-of-the-line “Performance Plus” system, you’ll receive the most comprehensive warranties of any pre-finished wood siding on the market.

Value Plus siding has a lifetime warranty against any and all factory defects in the coating. We’ll even include a labour allowance for the first five years.

Performance Plus siding, with its thick film backside coating that eliminates costly strapping of the building, goes even further in two important ways:

• Unlike most warranties on the market, GemThane’s Performance Plus coverage is not limited to a mere handful of situations such as delamination or blistering; it covers coating failure of any kind.

• We’re so confident in our Performance Plus system that we’ll replace the wood (not just the coating) in the unlikely event that it becomes unsound as a consequence of a coating failure.

We’ll even provide coverage for our Hint-O-Tint semi-transparent marine-grade coatings that draw out the natural grain of our top quality wood. We are the only supplier on the market to guarantee semi-transparent wood siding. In this case, the coverage is pro-rated over ten years.

Last but not least, you may want to consider our enhanced “Never Lift a Finger” Warranty. It covers everything – in the event of a warrantable failures, we’ll cover coating, wood, and labour – with no time limit. If the topcoat ever needs to be refreshed, the cost is covered by the warranty. To qualify for this coverage, the Owner retains GemThane to carry out the annual inspection and touch-up at a reasonable cost.

Decking Warranty

GemThane Dex-N-Dox deck boards have a unique warranty as well. The five-layer coating system is covered for five full years and the wood itself has a 20-year replacement warranty.

Concerned About Fading?

Being polymer-based, your GemThane coating will resist fading and erosion for three to five times longer than traditional paint-based finishes. Nothing else even comes close.
